Part of Unit 3
On Friday the 11. January 2019 my class and I had visited the Royal Opera House. Our Task was to take pictures of the place and write something about it so this is what I got:
Primary Research;
This was the Main Entrance to the Royal Opera House. I have personally never been there before this trip and I also had expectations of how the exterior would look like. To be honest I thought it would be a lot more “outgoing” in a way, a little bigger of an entrance and maybe even its own building, not tucked away in the corner or something.
One thing I noticed was that in different sections of the building there were different types of interior design. The entrance we went through was a little bit more modern with more glass and therefore way more natural light which really lit up the place, even on a not so nice day.
This was just one of the elevators. What I liked about the opera house were the different ways they portrayed the same sort of things. What I mean by that is, I liked the way they integrated ballet and other art forms and made art on ceilings and walls and the different ways they did that in different parts of the building.
So after a little bit of touring, we walked into a different area that I had recognized the place we were in. I had visited only that small part of the Opera House about a year and a half ago.
As you can now see what I meant with different interior design themes. Not as many large windows, slightly darker, red carpets, gold accents as well as wooden doors. This what I thought the Opera House would look like entirely and kind of how imagined it.
I did like both parts of the place, also one last picture from the top of the “modern” area. 
This is right above the entrance we came through. Probably my favorite part of this place. A really nice view over Covent Garden and in the Background you’re able to see the London Eye.
So, all in all, I really liked the trip, even though it wasn’t a very long one with a long walk there and back I deem it successful. We weren’t able to see the whole thing sadly but that leaves more for next time I guess.

we were lucky enough to have been there at the right time to watch a small part of the Ballet training. I found it quite incredible how flexible the dancers were. Sadly we weren’t able to take pictures of them. Probably because of some policy thing soo…
Then we went down some stairs and went into the main entrance for Theater.
